Counselling
Lynne provides individual counselling to children struggling with a wide variety of issues. She addresses issues by including family therapy believing firmly that the adults in that child's life need to be included in the counselling process. Lynne utilizies her training in child play therapy as part of an eclectic approach to working with children.
The teenage years can be very challenging times for adolescents and their caregivers. Lynne provides counselling services for teens and their caregivers.

I am a registered social worker/ therapist that provides confidential and professional counselling to children, teens, adults and families in the Kitchener Waterloo area. I provide a sliding fee scale. I have specialized training and experience in working with people struggling with family conflict, parenting, low self esteem, separation and divorce, bullying, abuse, grief and loss, anger management, stress management, trauma and mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder.
I also specialize in working with children and teens ages five - nineteen. I use my experience and training from the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy in working with children and families.
I have experience working with individuals, children, teens and families who are in crisis. I assist clients to move forward through difficult circumstances by achieving clarity, discovering answers and finding direction for a better tomorrow.

What happens to the information I provide?
All information is confidential. Exceptions to confidentiality will be discussed at your first appointment. (e.g. safety and court requested information.)
How long do you hold onto my information?
All information is held for a period of seven years from the time you decide to end your service. After seven years all records are destroyed.
My standard fee is $110.00 an hour. A sliding fee scale can be discussed.
Do you offer free consultation?
I offer free consultation via the telephone. Face to face services are available via appointment at my office.
If I miss an appointment will I be billed?
Missed appointments are billed unless the client informs me of cancellation 24 hours before the appointment time. Emergencies and bad weather conditions are taken into consideration.
Are your services covered under O.H.I.P.?
Counselling services are not covered by O.H.I.P. I will provide recieptswhich clients may be able to use for income tax purposes.
Are your services covered by my workplace insurance or private insurance plan?
Some private insurance plans cover counselling sessions with clinical social workers. Please inquire with your insurance provider.
